PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive polymer composition showing a positive temperature coefficient(PTC) effect at a high temperature and having excellent electrical and thermal stability, and a PTC device using it. SOLUTION: This high temperature PTC device containing conductive polymer composition composed of nylon 11 and a carbon radial particulate conductive filler has a switching temperature of not less than 150 deg.C, preferably from 160 deg.C up to 200 deg.C. This composition shows at least 10<3> fold, preferably from 10<4> up to 10<5> fold, PTC effect, and its resistivity at 25 deg.C is not more than 100Ωcm, preferably not more the 10Ωcm. The PTC device produced by extruding/ laminating processes shows excellent thermal and electrical stability even if bridging is applied, in comparison with the device produced by compression casting (stability is further improved by bridging). PTC characteristics of the device are improved, if high temperature wax is used to fix a terminal to the device.
