PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent any illegality due to the change of the sum of the face value of a prepaid card. SOLUTION: A carriage controlling part 25a controls a carrying operation of a card carrying part 25. A size discriminating part 25b is preliminarily provided with plural insertion ports corresponding to the plural sizes of prepaid cards, and discriminates the size of the prepaid card according to the insertion port in which the prepaid card is set. A patch detecting part 25c detects the joined part of the card only for the prepaid card whose size is discriminated as the maximum by the size discriminating part 25b, and detects forgery due to the patch. When the patch is detected by the patch detecting part 25c, an error check part 26 recognizes the prepaid card as an error, and the prepaid card is ejected by a reading processing part 24 so as to be excluded. |
