PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of always obtaining an appropriate meshing of a driving gear on a device body with a driven gear on a developing device, and surely preventing the occurrence of low density in an image on the rear side of the device main body without increasing the energizing force of an elastic body by which the developing device press-contacts with an image carrier and independently of the rising speed of the driving gear for the developing device and of the material of the gear. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a developing means which is attached movable to a developing position where it approaches to an image carrier and a retracted position where it is separated from the image carrier and which has a gear to be meshed with an external driving gear to transmit the driving force when the developing means moves to the developing position, and with a control means 120 for rotating the external driving gear 110 for a specified time in accordance with a signal detecting that the developing means moves from the retracted position to the developing position or a signal detecting that there is a possibility that the developing means moves from the retracted position to the developing position. |
