PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add antiviral, antibacterial and antimold performance to the surface and to improve the holding property of the performance by adsorbing a compd. containing at least one compd. selected from org. antiviral, antibacterial and antimold agents in the pores of a porous anodized film formed on an aluminum surface to seal the pores. SOLUTION: The org. antiviral, antibacterial and antimold agent is preferably a catechin compd. of tea polyphenol which is the effective component of an extracted component of tea, and the compd. is tea catechin (expressed by formula I) or tea theaflavin (expressed by formula II). An aluminum is anodically polarized in an electrolyte soln. to form an oxide film on the surface, and then the aluminum is dipped in a component soln. containing the catechin compd. For the sealing treatment, the aluminum is dipped in the soln. at >80 deg.C for about 10 min. The thickness of the anodized film is preferably 7 to 20μm. The tea extract component can be extracted from tea or green tea. Further, a thiabendazole(TBZ) org. antimold agent is added to increase the antimold performance. By this method, surfaces of materials used for living goods and surfaces of heat exchangers in air conditioners can be treated.
