<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the catalytic activities of halogenated aromatic isomerization reaction by specifying the secondary particle diameter of zeolite having the inlets of main cavities in a catalyst molded body formed of 10 membered oxygen rings. SOLUTION: Zeolite to be used is provided with inlets of main cavities composed of 10 membered oxygen rings, and such zeolite is known as pentasyl zeolites. Out of such zeolites, zeolite of secondary particle diameter of maximum 5 micron or less is used to prepare an isomerization catalyst composition of halogenated aromatic compound. As the halogenated aromatic compound, a compound represented by the formula is exemplified, and in the formula, X1 represents a halogen atom, X2 represents a halogen atom and methyl group. As such a halogenated aromatic compound, dichlorobenzene or chlorotoluene is exemplified. In the case of zeolite being in the powdery state, molding is required for using zeolite as a catalyst, and as the compression molding method, the kneading method or the like is used for the molding method.</p> |
