Determination of switching points of an electro magnetic valve

The operating cycle of a diesel fuel injector has the coil current (I) controlled using sensor inputs. Initially the current rises during a first switching phase to rapidly respond and to obtain the open position. A second and third phase sees the current switch down to a holding level to complete the injection . This is terminated by a turn off phase.
