Supported catalyst containing silver (Ag) for selective hydrogenation of unsaturated aldehydes (I) to unsaturated alcohols (II) comprises a Ag-indium (In) alloy on a support. Independent claims are also included for (a) the production of the catalyst; and (b) the selective hydrogenation of (I) to (II).
