PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily perform the display and selection of registered data and to attain improvement in convenience by switching a search data display mode for sequentially displaying the registered data, to which an identification mark for retrieval is applied, among the registered data on a display screen and a normal display mode for sequentially displaying all the registered data on the display screen corresponding to the operation speed of an operating dial. SOLUTION: A prescribed operation key 2 is operated and a display screen 3 is switched into mode for displaying telephone number. When a jog dial 4 is rotationally operated, based on the number of encoder output pulses per unit time, any one of low operation speed, medium operation speed and high operation speed is judged. When the operation speed of this jog dial 4 is judged low, the normal display mode is set, but when the operation speed is judged medium or high, the search data display mode is set. Thus, it is not necessary to turn the jog dial 4 over and over for displaying and selecting the desired telephone number. |
