<p>A process for producing an ocular lens which comprises subjecting a polymer which is a copolymer comprising essential monomer units having an amino group and a siloxanyl group to a treatment with an acid, to a plasma treatment in an atmosphere consisting of one or more gases including hydrogen, or to a treatment in which the protected hydrophilic groups in the polymer are deprived of the protecting groups to yield the free hydrophilic groups; and a process for producing the polymer useful for obtaining an ocular lens having high permeability to oxygen and satisfactory surface wettability by water.</p> |
