PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal transfer recorder in which sharp print quality is ensured even when a print is recorded on a curved surface of a writing instrument, or the like, without causing any distortion at the opposite sides or stripping of print due to scratching and cost increase is prevented when small quantity of various names are printed by eliminating the need of a plate. SOLUTION: Negative images 20 of an ink ribbon 1 having a resin based ink layer is primary transferred onto a removing film 10 by means of a thermal head 11. Subsequently, the ink ribbon 1 is moved at a substantially constant speed while abutting against a recording object and the positive image 21 on the ink ribbon 1 is secondary transferred onto the recording object by means of a heat roller 5 having thermal conductivity of 2.0×10<-3> -7.0×10<-3> cal/ cm.sec. deg.C and hardness of 30-50 deg.C. |
