A motorised scooter comprises a platform 1, front wheels 2 being steerable by a steering column 4 and associated handlebar 5, and an electric motor 9 for driving the rear wheels 3, the motor being operated by throttle means 10 connected to the handlebar. The steering column 4 and handlebar 5 are detachable from the front wheel and are releasably securable to clamp means 13 associated with the scooter whereby the handlebar may be releasably secured in a position adjacent the front wheel such that the scooter may be tilted upwards on the axis of the rear wheels 3 and whereby the throttle means 10 is still operable to control the motor when the throttle means 10 is gripped by a dismounted user of the scooter. The scooter may therefore be easily moved when the user is dismounted therefrom and the scooter may also include means for transporting articles such as items of shopping so that it can also serve the function of a motorised shopping trolley if preferred. |
