PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent large bending moment from acting in a support stay part of a fuel rail, also spread a freedom degree in the point of layout, and promote stratification of fuel and air to stabilize lean air/fuel ratio combustion. SOLUTION: This cylinder injection engine is provided with a fuel injection valve supplying fuel injected directly in a cylinder and a fuel rail 16 supplying fuel to the fuel injection valve. Here, the fuel injection valve is mounted in a cylinder head 3 so as to be positioned almost in parallel to an intake port 3d and in its lower side when the valve is viewed in a cam shaft direction, the fuel rail 16 is arranged so as to be offset in an opposite side to the intake port 3d by interposing the fuel injection valve when the fuel rail is viewed in an axial line direction of the fuel injection valve, and a rail mounting boss part 3 m fixedly bolt tightening a support stay 16b of the fuel rail 16 is formed in a part appearing in the outward from between the intake port 3d and the fuel rail 16 when the boss part is viewed in the direction of an injection valve axial line B of the cylinder head 3. |
