摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase transition optical recording medium having a structure or composition capable of phase difference tracking. SOLUTION: A phase transition optical recording medium 1 has the multilayer structure of successively laminating a lower protection layer 3, a recording layer 4, an upper protection layer 5, a radiating layer 6 and a UV protecting layer 7 on a transparent substrate 2. The optical phase difference of amolphous phases on the recording layer 4 between a recording mark and a crystal layer is more than 10 deg.. The film thickness of the recording layer 4 is 0.027 to 0.033 times in comparison with the wavelength of laser light to be radiated. The film thickness of the lower protection layer 3 is 0.20 to 0.32 times in comparison with the said wavelength. The film thickness of the radiating layer 6 is 0.13 to 0.25 times in comparison with the said wavelength. The film thickness of the upper protection layer 5 is 0.025 to 0.038 times in comparison with the said wavelength. The recording layer 4 is made of Ag, In, Sb and Te at least. The reflection factor of the recording mark in the amolphous phase of the recording layer 4 is higher than 50% of the reflectance of a crystal phase.
