PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the start torque of a DC motor, when a contacting plate is detached from as charging plate. SOLUTION: This contact charger 2 has a contact plate 4, which is turned in a forward or reverse direction around a horizontal shaft 9 with a DC motor M between the clearing position, where the contact plate 4 is detached from a charging plate P, and the conducting position where it contacts the charging plate P. When the contact plate 4 is turned from the clearing position to the conducting position, a DC motor and a torque-reducing resistor are connected in series to the DC power source for feeding power to the DC Motor M. Conversely, when it is turned from the conducting position to the clearing position, the DC motor 4 is directly connected to the DC power source, without passing through the torque-reducing resistor to feed power to the DC motor M. |
