PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice cell transmission method and system in which transmission delay time of transmission of voice cells is minimized on the premises of the voice and telephony over ATM(VTOA) architecture. SOLUTION: In the asynchronous transfer mode ATM transmission method, where a voice traffic is compressed, voice frames are set to a payload of a standard cell in a short cell form and transmitted, a voice frame is generated for each prescribed period of a talk part of one voice channel and the generated voice frames are set continuously to the payload of the standard cell. Number of voice frames corresponding to one voice channel set to one standard cell is varied dynamically with the state of a network as a concrete form. |
