The cocktail shaker has at least one ridge (1, 2) round the lower part of its body to give measured quantities of liquid, e.g. of 4 cl and 8 cl, while the lower and upper parts of the body form a bulge (3) by which the shaker can be gripped. The upper part is topped by a dome-shaped cover which has a hinged cap (4) opened by thumb pressure on a tongue (5) to open or release the pressure in the shaker.
