PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette pressing mechanism capable of stably inserting a cassette tape to a cassette housing and surely holding it. SOLUTION: This cassette pressing mechanism is constituted of a pair of roller shafts 44 attached to left and right upper parts inside the cassette housing 12 and holding rollers 45 respectively rotatably attached to the roller shafts 44. The roller shafts 44 are inclined in truncated chevron shape and arranged on the front surface of the cassette tape T1 and both upper ends of the cassette tape C1 are pressed by the holding rollers 45. Thus, the holding rollers 45 are prevented from being dropped in the recessed part of the cassette tape T1. Thus, hooking at the time of inserting or ejecting the cassette tape T1 is prevented.
