PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hot welding material capable of jointing resin products, esp. thermoplastic resin pipes in a short time by dispersing a carbonaceous material in a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: This hot welding material is obtained by dispersing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin (e.g. polyethylene) with (B) pref. >=0.5 pt.wt. of a carbonaceous material (e.g. graphite powder, carbon fiber, carbon black carbon nanoparticles, coke powder active carbon) (pref. a carbonaceous matter with ultrafine structure <=10μm in the maximum particle size and 10-100 nm in particle size). Use of a silicon compound (e.g. polysilane, polysiloxane) rather than a thermoplastic resin as the component A affords similar effects.
