PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier device which aligns chips on the front side (or back side) through the rotation of a spindle, in a process of separately charging chips into respective recess portions and carrying the chips to the next step. SOLUTION: Chips (t) carried in an array by a feeder are separately charged and carried into respective recess portions 3 of a chip charging rotor 1, and the carried chips (t) are separately transferred and supplied to a chip tape, a chip cassette, or other chip holding means. In this case, a spindle 6 is provided close to the circumferential portion of the rotor 1, so as to be inserted into the recess portion 3 of the rotor 1 and be rotated until 180 deg., so that the circumferential portion having recess portion 3 passes through a slit 5 of the spindle 6, when the rotor 1 rotates. The front or the back side of the chips (t) in the respective recess portions 3 of the rotor 1 is discriminated by a sensor, and the chips (t) are reversed by the 180 deg. rotation of the spindle 6 so that the chips (t) are aligned on the front side (or the back side) and then are carried. |
