FIELD: cracking of hydrocarbon oils by means of electrical facilities. SUBSTANCE: gas generator includes cooled housing, longitudinal alternating unlike electrodes, vertically movable plate mounted above them; plate is provided with tunnel passages arranged in staggered order along inter-electrode spaces at guaranteed overlapping. Plate is covered with grid at the top; passages are adaptable for diameter of graphite balls used as electric jumpers of adjacent fixed unlike electrodes.
