The energy generation plant has at least one drive unit (2) for driving at least one generator (5), the drive unit enclosed by a sound and/or heat insulating housing (1), allowing utilisation of the waste heat. The housing may have a fresh air inlet and at least one heat exchanger (11.1,11.2) for utilising the heat removed from the air fed to a ventilation duct (12) above the drive unit.
