PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cold-roll a stainless steel sheet without generating chatter marks and to roll either ferritic and austenitic stainless steel sheet at high speed and high efficiency using the same emulsion oil. SOLUTION: For an austenitic stainless steel, the emulsion oil whose average particle diameter is 1-5μm and concentration is >=10% is used. For the austenitic and ferritic stainless steel sheet, a raw material oil that the viscosity of the raw material oil of the emulsion oil is 7-20 cSt at 40 deg.C is used and the cold rolling is executed using an oil-in-water type emulsion oil which is prepared so that its concentration is >=10%, the average particle diameter of the oil particles is <=3μm and the ratio of the oil particle of the oil particle group in water having the particle diameter of >=10μm becomes <=5 vol.%. |
