PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing and refining device for sand in a sand box, which can continuously process the fire sterilizing of sand in a sand box and the refining of its grain size. SOLUTION: The sterilizing and refining device for sand in a sand box consists of a kiln 3 internally provided with a fin 3d for transferring sand in the shape of a screw rotate-supported between a combustion hood and a supply hood 4 on a rack, an accepting hopper 6 of sand in a sand box provided on the hood 4, a transferring screw conveyer 7 transferring the sand into the kiln 3, a burner 8 sending hot air for sterilizing into the kiln 3 from the side of the hood 5, a chimney 9 on the side of the supplying hood discharging hot air passing through inside of the kiln, a rotary driving device supporting and driving the rotary kiln 3, the rotary driving device of the conveyer 7 and an oscillating screen device 26 internally provided under the dropping hole part 5b of the hood 5 to select grading by receiving sand sterilized by hot air at the time of being rotate-transferred within the kiln 3. |
