A golf accessory 2 for assisting a golf player in correctly striking a golf ball comprises a piece of material having an aperture 6 therethrough and at least one surface provided with first and second alignment markings 16 and 18, wherein the second marking 18 is transverse to the first marking 16. The device may comprise a thin plastics sheet generally in the form of a rectangle and have a holding portion 20 at one end thereof. The player holds the device and, by looking at the golf ball though the aperture 6 and using the first and second alignment markings 16 and 18, aligns the desired direction of motion of the ball. The alignment markings may extend diagonally across the device or alternatively extend longitudinally along the length of the device (see 8,10,12 and 14 Figure 1). |
