The positions are determined by a combination of two known methods. First, a plurality of calculation stages are performed to determine the positions of the excitation pulses in accordance with the first known method. Then, a plurality of calculation stages are performed to determine the positions of the excitation pulses in accordance with the second method, each with a starting point from one of a plurality of positions calculated in accordance with the first method. |
