PURPOSE:To properly wind up a seat belt by providing a belt tension enhancing means by a weak spring and a winding-up drive means by a motor or the like, both being adapted as seat belt winding up means, and by actuating the drive means only when the seat belt is unfastened. CONSTITUTION:One end of a seat belt 2 is attached to a winding shaft 7 which is rotatably held by a retractor body 1 and a force of a power spring 4 is applied to one end of the winding shaft 7, whereby the belt 2 is subjected to a weak tensile load. A motor 5 as a winding-up drive means is attached to the other end of the winding shaft 7 and a gear 11 for locking the reeling-out of the belt 2 at a collision is attached to the same engageably with a raising projection 10a of a pawl 10. When a sitting switch 13 and a belt winding-up switch 15 are both switched on, in other words, only when a person gets off the vehicle, the motor 5 is electrified to wind up the seat belt 2 quickly and surely. |
