PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling and to miniaturize and reduce the weight of a television device by providing loudspeakers for surrounding channel reproduction which emit sounds in a lateral direction for a right-left side areas of the television device. SOLUTION: Side area L and R on the right/left as viewed from a front side have taper forms to the terminal part K of a box form towared the back. Speakers 3 and 4 are incorporated the right/left sides of the trailing end of the taper form. Sound is emitted to a viewer in a lateral direction at an angle of about 90 degrees. Since a casing is in a taper form, the viewer will not see the loudspeakers and there is no sound component which is emitted directly to the direction of the viewer. It is preferable that the speakers 3 and 4 be arranged at the latter half of the side parts L and R, and that they can be fitted to the trailing end part K of the box form. Sound is directly from the casing, an outer speaker for three-dimensional sound reproduction is not required, and the device can be miniaturized. |
