PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extracting utensil and extracting method for one cup of tea that both facilitate making good tea even of one cup and facilitate clearing tea leaves after extraction from itself and washing itself. SOLUTION: An extracting utensil comprises a cap main body 1 that has a characteristic of holding boiling water of 180 cc at a temperature not lower than 80 degrees after three minutes when preheated in an atmosphere of ordinary temperature, a strainer 2 adapted to be fitted in the cup main body 1 for later detachment and constituted of meshes 2a that define the periphery and bottom except a top opening, and a lid 3 adapted to be placed on the top opening of the strainer 2 for later detachment to close the top opening of the strainer 2 as well as the top opening of the cup main body 1. Using the extracting utensil, or putting tea leaves into the strainer 2 and then pouring boiling water of one cup thereinto to steam them for three minutes offers one cup of tea. |
