PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain construction hardwares, sanitary goods, containers for food/drug, etc., excellent in a light weight, workability and antibacterial activity by working with using the Al alloy containing a specified ratio of Cu or Ag and having a second phase concentrating Cu or Ag in a specified ratio for a stock. SOLUTION: The Al alloy contains >=0.5 mass % Cu and has a Cu concentrated second phase of >=0.2 vol.%. The Al alloy containing >=0.5 mass % Cu and having the Cu concentrated second phase of >=0.2 vol.% or a clad material cladding the Al alloy and a steel/stainless steel further a surface treated steel sheet plating the Al alloy are preferably made to construction hardwares, sanitary goods, containers/hardwares for food/drug, etc. Because hardwares using the Al alloy expose the second phase essentially made of Ag and Cu, an oxidized film of Al is hardly be generated, Ag or Cu is likely dissolved in an ion state, antibacterial effect is developed. |
