PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alumina cement and a prepared unshaped refractory having a high strength, a high fluidity and high corrosion resistance absent in a conventional product and capable of reducing the amount of CaO in the monolithic refractory and improving the corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: This alumina cement composition contains an alumina cement comprising a hydraulic material having a mineral composition of Ca0.Al2 O3 and CaO-2Al2 O3 and α-alumina and having a chemical composition of 5-15 wt.% CaO and 95-85 wt.% Al2 O3 . and an additive which is one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of polyacrylic acids, polymethacrylic acids, acrylic acids-methacrylic acids copolymers and polyitaconic acids and/or a carbonate. The monolithic refractory contains the alumina cement composition and a refractory aggregate. |
