METHOD OF DENSIMETRY OF BONE TISSUE DENSITY OF JAWS BY IMAGES OBTAINED BY SCANNING OF ORTHOPANTOMOGRAM

FIELD: roentgenology; may be used in performance of more accurate diagnoses of diseases of maxillofacial region. SUBSTANCE: method includes densimetry of part of jaw bones by orthopantomogram brought to display of computer by means of graphic editor; calculation on the basis of densitometry results of criterion of X-ray density of cavernous and cortical osseous tissue of patient in experimentally selected points of cervical vertebra bodies, in sections which have no deposition on their processes and cerebrospinal canal, and density of jaw bone section under interest; comparison of obtained densities and their analysis. Method allows determination of skialogic density of bone tissue with use of computer facilities. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl, 1 dwg
