PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a cleaning function for ill-smelling components etc. inexpensively realizable in accordance with a room when the function is given to an air conditioner. SOLUTION: In a duct-installed type photocatalyst unit 50, a photocatalyst carrier 32 and a light source are housed in a tube 43. The unit 50 is installed to a duct 4 through which an air flow is sent to an air outlet unit 9 form the main body 2 of an air conditioner incorporating a heat exchanger 21. The unit 50 can be installed to the duct 4 by selecting a cleaning function at every wind path without exchanging the main body 2, etc. The tube 43 has an opening for maintenance and a lid which closes and opens the opening. The duct 43, in addition, can be installed to the duct 4 in a detachable state. Moreover, the cleanability of the tube 43 is improved by increasing the cross-sectional area of the tube 43. Therefore, the maintenance of the unit 50 becomes easier. |
