A machine incorporates parts which move in a linear direction within a guidance unit. The guidance is a U-shaped channel (2) made of a light metal. Each side of the channel incorporates stiffening parallel rails (3) made in precision steel, and which act as guides for the moving components (1) on rollers (23). The guide rails (2) project (31) into the channel. Three rollers remain in contact with more than one rail. Four or more of the rollers remain in contact with the rails at all times, aided by an elastic contact reinforcement component. |
