The storage and display device has the objects suspended one behind the other at close spacing on wires, threads or lines and able to be moved sideways by a receiving device. The objects may be suspended from rails. The receiving device is flexible enough for the objects to be changed rapidly. The length of the sideways movement path is at least twice that of the objects.
