<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly support a load exerted on a steering column shaft during rotation of a steering wheel, to absorb vibration exerted on a steering column shaft with no load exerted on the steering column shaft during idling, and besides to prevent an adverse influence from being exercised on roundness by a support leg and heat. SOLUTION: A bearing 3 for a steering column comprises an elastic cylinder body 11; and an annular body. The elastic cylinder body 11 integrally comprises an inside cylinder part 25 provided on an inner surface 15 with fastening margin parts 16, 17, 18, and 19 and axially extending grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 are formed in an outer surface 20 in correspondence to the fastening margin parts 16, 17, 18, and 19, respectively; and an outside cylinder part 27 concentric to the inside cylinder part 25 and arranged at the outside of the inside cylinder part 25 so that an annular recessed part 26 is formed between the inside cylinder part 25 and the outside cylinder part.</p> |
