摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure driving power, improve recovery efficiency of power energy with two motors of relatively low output, and optimize engine and motor control according to running conditions. SOLUTION: The ring gear 3c of a planetary gear unit 3 is connected to an engine 1 through a motor 2, a carrier 3b is connected to the input shaft 5a of a belt-type continuously variable transmission(CVT) 5 with a motor 4 linked with a sun gear 3a, and the sun gear 3a and the carrier 3b are linked by a clutch 6 so as to be combined freely. A dirigible road wheel 10 is formed continuously at the output shaft 5c of the CVT 5 through a reduction gear train 7, a differential mechanism 8, and a driving shaft 9. It is thus possible to ensure driving power by the two small type motors 2, 4 of relatively low output, improve the recovery efficiency of power energy, attain optimum control according to running conditions by fixing differential of the planetary gear unit 3 under a condition of high speed running or the like by the clutch 6, and control of the engine 1 and the motors 2, 4 in an optimum condition by controlling the change gear ratio of the CVT 5 properly.
