The container has, in addition to the powdered or granular food product, a holder of a desiccant such as silica gel. The holder can be a tube (A) located in the center of the container and extending virtually from its base to its top, being attached to a stopper (B) set in a hole in the container base. In a variant the desiccant product can be in a detachable base with a permeable membrane e.g. of hydrophilic gauze.
