[Class 38 (i)] Connection between a wire 3 and an electrode 1 or other rod, tube, or disc is made by forming a hole 2 in the electrode &c. and securing the bent end 6 of the wire therein by means of a wedge or plug 7 driven into the hole. The end of the wire may be folded on itself and then bent laterally to form the projection 6. A bituminous &c. coating 8 applied to the electrode extends to the insulating sleeve 4 on the wire. |
