<p>This invention refers to shipbuilding and can be used in the construction of sailboats and sailing ships. Its purpose is to improve hydrodynamic quality, reducing adverse water resistance during the turning of the boat and manoeuvring.The innovation of the invention: plates of keel (schwert) and helm are made with three or more vertical slits, situated on the keel (schwert) with an additional helm plate in two or more rows, with three or more slits per row. Overlaps between the rows of slits serve to maintain the mechanical hardness of the keel (schwert) and helm plate.For keel yachts, the optimal angle of deviation during turning is 15-20 degrees, but for schwert-boats it is 30-40 degrees. During this time, adverse turbulent currents appear behind the helm plate. If there are slits, these whirls decrease, and aerodynamic results are improved. Helm plates with slits can be used not only in sailboats, but also in other slower vessels.</p> |
