PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film wherein an image of high quality can be formed and image reception sheets can be obtained by preventing the trouble of sending a plurality of the image reception sheets at a time. SOLUTION: In the biaxially stretched polyester film wherein a thermal transfer image reception layer is provided on at least one of the sides of the film, the average roughness Ra1 of the center line of a surface of the poyester film where a thermal transfer image reception layer is provided and the average roughness Ra2 of the center line on the opposite side of the film satisfy the following equations: equation I Ra1 <Ra2 , equation II 5 nm<=Ra1 <=80 nm, equation III 50 nm<=Ra<2> <=500 nm. And the specific surface resistance of the opposite side of the polyester film is preferably in a range 10<8> -10<12> Ω/(square). |
