WATERPROOFING METHOD FOR NARROW GAP SURFACE OF STRUCTURAL MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water leakage such as rain water from end faces facing each other in a narrow gap between structural members, thereby making it possible to easily form a waterproof layer on the end faces facing each other in a narrow gap between concrete formed structural members and to easily repair cracks in the facing end faces in a narrow gap between structural members. SOLUTION: A narrow gap 4 between concrete-formed structural members 2 is filled up with a foaming material, and a waterproof layer of an independent foamed body 5 is formed to facing end faces 3 in the narrow gap 4 of the structural members 2. Lower face of peripheral edge portion and both side faces or the whole face of the peripheral edge portion of the narrow gap 4 of the structural members 2 are sealed with a sealing material in advance. Facing end faces of the narrow gap 4 of the structural members 2 are purified in advance by wet sand blasting. The foaming material is foamed and hardened, and the tensile strength of a foamed, hardened body is made lower than the strength of concrete.
