摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel control device that can perform appropriate braking operation to a vehicle even in the case of at least one wheel being put in a nongrounded state during engine braking in a four-wheel drive vehicle provided with a center differential gear. SOLUTION: A travel control device for a four-wheel drive vehicle has a braking force control means BC for imparting braking force independently to each wheel connected through a center differential gear DC, a nongrounded state judging means NC for judging whether or not at least one of the wheels is in a nongrounded state on the basis of wheel speed detected by a wheel speed detecting means WS, and an engine brake judging means EB for judging the engine brake state of a vehicle. At the time of judging the wheel to be in the nongrounded state in the engine braking state, the braking force control means BC imparts braking force to at least one wheel. A downward slope judging means GD can be further provided to add a condition that the travel road surface of the vehicle is a downward slope.
