The air intake assembly is used with a multicylinder internal combustion engine. It has an air collector (6) with an air inflow connection (5) next to and at one side of a longitudinal wall (9) of a cylinder head (1). The separate suction channels (7), over the cylinder head (1), are linked by an opposite longitudinal wall (10). Internal combustion engine components such as fuel injection valves (14) are within the curves (13), and the power collector (8) is outside and switched by a controlled closure.
