The assembly has a cold air inlet (12) which is connected to a parallel cold air branch (18) and a hot air branch (20). These branches are connected to a mixing chamber (22) and a mixing assembly (34). This divides the flow of cold air between the two branches so as to produce a flow of air at an adjusted temperature. The mixing assembly has a cylindrical flap (38) that is mounted so as to rotate and has a cylindrically curved side wall (40) and a further mobile sidewall (44) that is attached to the cylindrical flap by a hinge (46) along the axis (YY) parallel to the axis of rotation (XX) of the cylindrical flap. Guides (50,52) are included which define the movement of the mobile sidewall during the rotation of the cylindrical flap between its two extreme positions.
