PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of obtaining smooth gradation characteristics even as a copier without synthesizing a gradation conversion table while maintaining the stability of the gradation characteristics of a printer single body. SOLUTION: This image formation device is provided with a scanner 420 for optically scanning original images arranged at a read position and outputting read image signals, an image processing part provided with aγcorrection circuit 409 provided with a gradation correction table for an image processing for image-processing and outputting image signals, an I/F selector circuit 411 for alternatively switching and outputting the image signals from the image processing part and the image signals from an external device and a printerγcorrection circuit 412 for image formation provided with the gradation correction table for gradation-processing and outputting the image signals switched and outputted from the switching means of the I/F selector circuit 411, etc. Then, the gradation correction table of the printerγcorrection circuit 412 for the image formation is prepared so as to be roughly linear with the gradation characteristics of the printer 413 as a target value.
