Compressor which comprises a rotor casing in which rotates a rotary piston accommodated on a hollow eccentric shaft and provided with an inlet orifice which is limited in the peripheral direction by means of distribution edges which run substantially in an axial direction, determining the principle of aspiration and the principle of compression, with which the radial suction channels are coordinated, of the rotary piston rotor emerging in chambers formed between the rotary piston rotor and the rotor casing, the rotor casing being provided, in the region of said chambers, with outlet orifices governed by means of pressure valves. The compressor is provided with a device for varying the angular position in the peripheral direction of the distribution edge of the inlet orifice of the eccentric shaft which determines the principle of compression. <IMAGE>
