The internal combustion engine (3) is arranged symmetrically with respect to the central length axis of the motorcycle (1) and contains a V-shaped arrangement of cylinders (4) pointing towards the front of the motorcycle. The crankshaft and drive shaft (7) extend in a vertical direction. The gear mechanism casing is positioned beneath and/or behind the engine block (2).
