The fork-shaped section runs crossways to the longitudinal central axis of the gear lever. The switch fork (2,3) acting as a stiffening of an angled collar is produced as a complete structural part (1) by swarfless formation, using the deep drawn method. The switch fork has a collar (11) running at right-angles to the fork-shaped section.
