Method to register penetration test in materials testing machine

A separate unit for controlling the production of defined vibrations is inserted into a closed force circuit. This unit preferably produces vibrations, which cause elongation in the direction in which a sample is fed. The unit may be arranged to allow sample feed and force measurement to occur in series. An Independent claim is also provided for a device for carrying out the method.
