PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily make an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) switch large in scale and high in operating speed by setting a transmission timing to the signal line of input access modules and a reception timing from the signal line of output access modules in the same time slot. SOLUTION: A transmission synchronizing circuit 13 and a reception synchronizing circuit 14 synchronize the input access modules IN1-IN3 with the output access modules OUT1-OUT5. The reception synchronizing circuit 14 includes a transmission timing controller and a reception timing controller by which the transmission timing to the bus 6 of the input access modules IN1-IN3 and the reception timing from the bus 6 of the output access modules OUT1-OUT5 are set in the same time slot. Then, the transmission timing to the signal line of the input access modules and the reception timing from the signal line of the output access modules are set in the same time slot.
